It’s no secret that I love a good DIY project; majority of
the things in my home are things I’ve made. This past weekend in an attempt to become
more organized I decided to make my own jewelry rack. I knew I wanted to incorporate
copper somehow since it's one of my favorite metals. This DIY turned out to be
very simple and affordable (it even left me with scrap material to make more as
gifts).
Supplies you’ll need
–
(all purchased at Lowe’s)
1 piece of wood
2-hole pipe straps
½ inch screws
2 inch screws
1 copper pipe (or other metal of choice)
Drill
Pencil
Level
Tape measure
- Once you find the wood size + type you want,
figure out how far away you want the pipe straps
to be from one another
- Screw pipe straps to the board
to be from one another
- Screw pipe straps to the board
- Drill pilot holes through both sides of the board and screw to the wall
- Place pipe through the holes to create a rack
- YOU’RE DONE!
** You can cut wire to create your own s-shape hooks to hang things. They can also be purchased pre-made at hardware stores or on Amazon.
